Carbonic Anhydrase IX/CA IX [MD183R]
Description Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. Carbonic Anhydrase 9 (CA9) has a distinctive expression pattern in normal and cancer tissues. The most abundant expression of CA9 was found in normal mucosa of the stomach and gallbladder. Other normal tissues have lower or no expression. Relatively high levels of CA9 are expressed in carcinomas of the cervix, kidney, lung, breast and many other tumors. Most studies have shown that decreased CA9 levels are independently associated with poor survival. Low levels of CA9 maybe benefit more from adjuvant treatment than patients with high levels. Caspase 3 (active/pro) [31A1067]
Description Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases that are key mediators of programmed cell death or apoptosis. The precursor form of all caspases is composed of a prodomain, and large and small catalytic subunits. The active forms of caspases are generated by several stimuli including ligand-receptor interactions, growth factor deprivation and inhibitors of cellular functions. All known caspases require cleavage adjacent to aspartates to liberate one large and one small subunit, which associate into a2b2 tetramer to form the active enzyme. Gene for Caspase 3 also known as Yama, CPP32, and apopain codes for a 32-kDa protein. Caspase 3 cleaves the death substrate poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) to a specific 85 kDa form observed during apoptosis and is inhibitable by the CrmA protein. Other Caspase 3 substrates include DNA-PK, actin, GAS2, and procaspase-6, etc. Caspase 3 is activated by cleavage events at Asp-28/Ser-29 (between N-terminal pro-domain) and Asp-175/Ser-176 (between large an Host Mouse Application ELISA, ICC?Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human -

catalase [H9]
Description This gene encodes catalase, a key antioxidant enzyme in the bodies defense against oxidative stress. Catalase is a heme enzyme that is present in the peroxisome of nearly all aerobic cells. Catalase converts the reactive oxygen species hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen and thereby mitigates the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide. Oxidative stress is hypothesized to play a role in the development of many chronic or late-onset diseases such as diabetes, asthma, Alzheimer's disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancers. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with decreases in catalase activity but, to date, acatalasemia is the only disease known to be caused by this gene. (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Mouse Application ELISA, Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat -

Catenin Beta [15B8]
Description Catenin Beta is a key regulatory protein involved in cell adhesion and signal transduction through the Wnt pathway, and plays important roles in development, cellular proliferation, and differentiation. Mutations in the Beta-Catenin gene CTNNB1 leading to stabilization of Beta-Catenin in the cytoplasm and translocation to the nucleus have been implicated in various forms of tumor including familial adenomatous polyposis, fibromatosis, solitary fibrous tumors and endometrial carcinoma. A nuclear accumulation of Beta-Catenin in fibromatosis (desmoid tumor) in various locations including breast and mesentery is useful in the differentiation of this tumor from other fibroblast like lesions. (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Mouse Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat, Bovine, Dog (Canine), Chicken -

Cathepsin D [CTSD/3082]
Description Cathepsin D is a ubiquitously expressed lysosomal protease that is involved in proteolytic degradation, cell invasion, and apoptosis. It is suspected to play important roles in protein catabolism, antigen processing, degenerative diseases, and cancer progression. Cathepsin D is present in many types of cancer cells. In breast cancer, it is induced by estrogens and its expression is correlated with a higher risk of metastasis and poor disease-free survival. Extensive studies have been also performed to evaluate the clinical and therapeutic implication of Cathepsin D expression in nongynecological solid tumors. Although conflicting results have been observed in some reports, evidence emerging from these studies indicated that Cathepin D seems to facilitate early stages of tumor progression such as cell proliferation and local dissemination.
