    Carbonic Anhydrase IX/CA IX [CA9/781]

Description Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is a cell surface transmembrane protein, which is predominantly found in the gastrointestinal tract and gall bladder. The glandular regions of normal colon are reported to be negative, but in the case of adenocarcinoma, the glands are positive. CAIX is also reported to be expressed in common epithelial tumors such as carcinomas of the esophagus, lung, colon, kidney, cervix, and non-small cell lung carcinoma. In breast carcinomas, CAIX expression has been reported to be associated with malignant tissue. Expression of CAIX is reported to be absent in normal kidney, chromophobe carcinomas or oncocytomas, however, it is specifically expressed in clear cell renal carcinoma (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    CD205/LY75/gp200 [SPM487]

Description CD205, also named DEC-205, belongs to the macrophage mannose receptor family of C-type lectin endocytic receptors. CD205 is predominantly expressed by the thymic cortical epithelium and by dendritic cells (DC), but can also be detected at low levels in T and B lymphocytes and several other epithelial cell types. CD205 is a novel thymic epithelial marker that is important for the positive selection process of thymocytes. It is a sensitive and specific marker for thymoma, while the sensitivity to thymic carcinoma is lower than CD5 and CD117. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)/Proximal Nephrogenic Antigen [66.4.C2]

Description Anti-renal cell carcinoma (RCC) recognizes a 200 kD glycoprotein localized in the brush border of the proximal renal tubule. This antibody immunoreacts with approximately 90% of primary renal cell carcinomas and approximately 85% of metastatic renal cell carcinomas. Therefore, anti-RCC is a reliable tool for differentiating primary or metastatic renal cell carcinoma from non-renal tumors. It may be utilized as a marker for the differential diagnosis of eosinophilic renal tumors-granular variant of renal cell carcinoma, chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, and oncocytoma. Other tumors that may react with this antibody are parathyroid adenoma and an occasional breast carcinoma. Nephroblastoma, oncocytoma, mesoblastic nephroma, transitional cell carcinoma, and angiomyolipoma are not labeled with this antibody. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)

    Thrombospondin 1 [A6.1]

Description The Thrombospondin proteins (TSP 1-4) compose a family of glycoproteins that are involved in cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix signaling. These extracellular, cell-surface proteins form complexes of both homo- and heteromultimers. Thrombospondins play a role in development, aggregation of platelets, adhesion and migration of cells and progression of cells through the growth cycle. Thrombospondin 1 is released from platelets in response to Thrombin stimulation and is a transient component of the extracellular matrix of developing and repairing tissues. Thrombospondin 2 shares a high degree of homology with TSP 1, and is thought to have overlapping but unique functions. Thrombospondin 3 is a developmentally regulated heparin binding protein. Thrombospondin 4 is neuronally expressed and stimulates neurite outgrowth. (Shipping Cost: €200.00)
