AFP [C3]
Description Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is the most abundant plasma protein found in the human fetus. It is thought to be the fetal form of serum albumin. AFP binds to copper, nickel, fatty acids and bilirubin and is found in monomeric, dimeric and trimeric forms. Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) is synthesized by the cells of the embryonic yolk sac, fetal liver and fetal intestinal tract. AFP levels decrease soon after birth. In abnormal tissues, expression of AFP has been demonstrated in hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatoid adenocarcinoma, germ cell tumors and particularly yolk sac tumor. The anti-AFP antibody may be useful for the identification of neoplastic liver diseases, yolk sac tumors and mixed germ cell tumors. (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Mouse Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Reactivity Human, Dog (Canine),Pig (Porcine) -

Bcl-2 [8C8]
Description Expression of Bcl-2α oncoprotein inhibits the programmed cell death (apoptosis). In most follicular lymphomas, neoplastic germinal centers express high levels of Bcl-2α protein, whereas the normal or hyperplastic germinal centers are negative. This antibody recognizes a protein of 25-26kDa, identified as the bcl-2 α oncoprotein. It shows no cross-reaction with Bcl-x or Bax protein. Expression of bcl-2 α oncoprotein inhibits the programmed cell death (apoptosis). In most follicular lymphomas, neoplastic germinal centers express high levels of bcl-2 α protein, whereas the normal or hyperplastic germinal centers are negative. Consequently, this antibody is valuable when distinguishing between reactive and neoplastic follicular proliferation in lymph node biopsies. It may also be used in distinguishing between those follicular lymphomas that express bcl-2 protein and the small number in which the neoplastic cells are bcl-2 negative. Bcl-x [2H12]
Description Bcl-x, also know as Bcl-2-like protein 1, is a member of the Bcl-2 protein family. It inhibits cell death, or apoptosis. Bcl-x is expressed as two isomeric forms, Bcl-xL and Bcl-xS, and it is typically present in the cytosol in association with the mitochondrial membrane. Bcl-xL forms heterodimers with various proteins, including Bax, Bak and Bcl-2. It has been found that heterodimerization with Bax does not seem to be required for anti-apoptotic activity. Since Bcl-xL can form an ion channel in synthetic lipid membranes, there is a strong possibility that this property plays a role in heterodimerizationindependent cell survival. The Bcl-X(S) isoform promotes apoptosis. Bcl-x is expressed in many types of cell including lymphocytes, neuronal cells, and epithelial cells. In tumors, a high level of Bcl-x has been found in Reed Sternberg cells in Hodgkin’s disease. Overexpression of Bcl-x has been observed in primary central nervous system lymphomas that occur in immunosuppressed patients Host Mouse Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat,Pig (Porcine) -

C5b9/TCC/MAC [aE11]
Description The complement component proteins: C2, C3, C4 and C5 are potent anaphylatoxins that are released during complement activation. Binding of these proteins to their respective G protein-coupled receptors, C3aR, C1R and C5aR, induces proinflammatory events, such as cellular degranulation, smooth muscle contraction, arachidonic acid metabolism, cytokine release, leukocyte activation and cellular chemotaxis. Activation of the complement system leads to the formation of C5b-9 terminal complex, and while C5b-9 can promote cell lysis, the sublytic assembly of C5b-9 on plasma membranes causes an opposite result and induces cell cycle activation and survival. C5b-9 can rescue oligodendrocytes from FAS-mediated apoptosis by regulating caspase-8 processing via PI 3-K signaling. C5b-9 may play a pro-inflammatory role in the acute phase of multiple sclerosis, but may also be neuroprotective during the chronic phase of the disease. CD284/Toll-like Receptor 4 [25]
Description This antibody reacts with human Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). It is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family, which plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. This receptor has been implicated in signal transduction events induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) found in most gram-negative bacteria. Mutations in this gene have been associated with differences in LPS responsiveness. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. CD29 (Integrin Beta-1 Subunit) [MD79]
Description Integrins play an important role in cell adhesion and migration, and their normal function is critical in the induction and maintenance of cell differentiation. This antibody reacts with CD29, the 130 kD integrin ß1 subunit. CD29 is ubiquitous, with broad tissue distribution, but is not expressed on erythrocytes and is expressed only weakly on granulocytes. Loss or down-regulation of CD29 has been proposed to be one of the general pathways through which carcinoma cells may acquire a more invasive and differentiated phenotype (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Mouse Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC),Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human,Pig (Porcine) -
