CDX2 [EP25]
Description The caudal-related homeodomain protein 2, CDX-2, is a transcription factor which is expressed in the intestine and is thought to play an important role in the proliferation and differentiation of intestinal epithelial cells. The CDX-2 protein is expressed in primary and metastatic colorectal carcinomas, intestinal metaplasia of the stomach and intestinal type gastric cancer. In human colorectal cancer, the expression of both CDX2 and carbonic anhydrase 1, a gene regulated by CDX2, is reduced or absent. CDX-2 is one of the important regulators in defining pathways for coordinate control of drug metabolism in the gastrointestinal tract. (Shipping Cost: €200.00) Host Rabbit Application Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow cytometry (FC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC),Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human, Monkey -
CEA/CD66 [CEA31]
Description Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), also known as CD66e, is a cell surface glycoprotein that exhibits several functions, includingregulation of intercellular adhesion, differentiation and anoikis, cell polarization and tissue architecture. CEA is present in fetal colon and many types of epithelial tumors, including adenocarcinomas of the GI tract, lung and breast. Antibody to CEA is useful in differentiating lung adenocarcinoma (positive) from mesothelioma (negative). CEA has been helpful in monitoring tumor progression. Histone H3 Tri-Methyl Lys27/H3K27Me3 [MD48R]
Description The Histone H3 is one of the five main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N-terminal tail, H3 is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 protrudes from the globular nucleosome core and can undergo several different types of epigenetic modifications that influence cellular processes. These modifications include the covalent attachment of methyl or acetyl groups to lysine and arginine amino acids and the phosphorylation of serine or threonine. Arginine methylation of histones H3 (Arg2, 17, 26) and H4 (Arg3) promotes transcriptional activation and is mediated by a family of protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs), including the co-activators PRMT1 and CARM1 (PRMT4). In contrast, a more diverse set of histone lysine methyltransferases have been identified, all but one of which contain a conserved catalytic SET domain origin Host Rabbit Application Flow cytometry (FC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC),Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB) Reactivity Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey -
Laminin Alpha 2/Merosin [5H2]
Description Laminins are essential and abundant structural non-collagenous glycoproteins localizing to basement membranes. Basement membranes (cell-associated extracellular matrices (ECMs)) are polymers of laminins with stabilizing Type IV Collagen networks, Nidogen and several proteoglycans. Basement membranes are found under epithelial layers, around the endothelium of blood vessels, and surrounding muscle, peripheral nerve and fat cells. Formation of basement membranes influences cell proliferation, phenotype, migration, gene expression and tissue architecture. Each laminin is a heterotrimer of α, β and γ chain subunits that undergoes cell-secretion and incorporation into the ECM. Laminins can self-assemble and bind to other matrix macromolecules, and have unique and shared cell interactions mediated by integrins, dystroglycan and cognate laminin receptors. The human Laminin α-2 gene is necessary for sustenance of mature muscle cells. The Laminin α-2 gene is associated with congenita. NDRG1 [MD34R]
Description The N-myc downregulated gene 1 (NDRG1) is a 43 KDa protein that contains a NDRG1 core domain and three unique tandem repeats of 10 hydrophilic amino acids near the COOH terminus, which is ubiquitously expressed in different mammalian tissues and modulates cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis. Although the exact biological function of NDRG1 remains obscure, studies suggest that NDRG1 is a direct transcriptional target gene of p53 to mediated cell death and apoptosis. NDRG1 has been identified as a protein involved in the differentiation of epithelial cells. One of the most well documented links between NDRG1and pathophysiology is its association with inhibition of tumor metastasis. The reduced expression of NDRG1 was found to be associated with tumor metastasis in a variety of tumors, including cancers of the breast, colon, prostate, oral cavity and oropharynx. On the other hand, overexpression of NDRG1 in hepatocellular carcinoma has been an indicator of tumor aggressiveness.
